2019 Hip Hop Unite NZ National Championships


Hip Hop Unite is one of New Zealand’s biggest Hip Hop Dance Championships, it is also a qualifier to the HHU World Championships held in Europe in October.
Growing every year, the 2018 event saw 70 crews and over 500 dancers from Auckland to Dunedin and everywhere in between.

In 2019 the Championships were held on 21 & 22 June at the Lower Hutt Town Hall, Lower Hutt

Categories for the 2019 Championship:

Cadet (7-13 years)
Cadet Future Champions (7-13 years)
Junior (12-18 years) *
Junior Future Champions (12-18 years)
Adult 17 years + *
Masters 35 yrs plus (can have 2 dancers 30 years +)
Junior Mega Crew (now an offical World Category) (7-13 years) *
Mega Crew – 12 years + *
Cadet Duo *
Junior Duo *
Adult Duo *
Masters Duo*
Junior All style Battle *
Senior All Style Battle *
* is an offical world qualifying category
The competition will be running from 5pm on the Friday night through until approx 10pm on the Saturday night.  There will be a workshop on the Sunday morning between 10:30am – 12pm.
ENTRIES WILL OPEN 1st March and stay open until 30th April or until entries are full.  We can accept a maximum of 24 crews per division and 15 per duo category.  *Please note that the Cadet and Junior Divisions will fill up quick. To confirm your place we must receive a full entry, including dancers full names and DOB and payment.
Entry Fees will be $50 per dancer for world qualifying categories and $40 per dancer for Future Champions.  Those entering a duo or mega crew as a second entry this will be at $25 per dancer.   Please note entry fees will include HD video footage as a download for each dancer and access to the highlights photo gallery.
