Created for, and working with New Zealand schools
Small Crews of 5-9 dancers, and Mega Crews of 12-25 dancers compete at regional events to qualify for places at the annual National Championship.
Our events are run by independent regional organisers, with support from the New Zealand Competitive Aerobics Federation (NZCAF). Event dates are set to align with the New Zealand public school calendar, in order to minimise disruption to schools. Our dates are published within the first few weeks of term one, allowing schools the time necessary to choreograph and prepare.
- Small Crew
- Mega Crew
See the current Technical Regulations for more information on divisions and categories. The competition offers two divisions.
- the ‘Same Schools’ division is offered for crews where all dancers attend the same school.
- the ‘Dance schools’ division is offered for crews where dancers attend different schools.
We are always looking to add more competitions to our competition series. If you are interested in helping us present an event, please contact the NZCAF President.
Regional events are held in July/August each year See the Event dates section of the NZCAF website for more info.
Held every year in September, crews that have qualified at a regional competition compete for National titles at the National School’s Hip Hop Championship. Crews from across New Zealand attend, and the competition alternates between venues in the North and South Island.
Hip Hop Unite
