14 November 2021
The NZCAF community, would like to once again congratulate the two New Zealand athletes Dani Kramers (FISAF Junior Woman Individual) and Kylie Lyders (FISAF Senior Woman Individual) who were selected in May at the FISAF New Zealand National Championships to represent New Zealand and compete at the 2021 FISAF World Championships in Agen, France.
We would like to recognise the effort and dedication that Dani and Kylie have displayed throughout the 2021 season. They have both continually competed to a high standard and finished the season stronger than ever! We are confident that they will represent New Zealand extremely well on the world stage.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 has again had an impact on the sporting calendar, and additionally the ability for Dani and Kylie to travel to France. In response, FISAF has announced a new Online World Championship which replaces the planned live event for France.
In a usual competition year, our selection event for World Championships is our FISAF National Championships event held in May or June. We select early in the year, due to the travel and financial commitments required to attend an event which is usually held in Europe in October.
With the introduction of a new online format, we can select athletes much closer to the online event taking place. For 2021, this presented a unique opportunity to select additional representatives for the 2021 FISAF NZ team.
With COVID-19 related restrictions changing the nature of our events worldwide, often for the worse, we see the additional selection opportunity as a positive opportunity for our athletes to showcase their routines.
As such, NZCAF has taken the opportunity to ask additional NZCAF and FISAF athletes to submit video entries for the 2021 FISAF Online World Championships. Athletes competing in the following categories at the 2021 NZCAF National Championships were considered, with selection by the National judging panel based on their on-stage performances;
- FISAF Individual and Teams
- NZCAF Junior Open
- NZCAF Senior Open
- NZCAF Secondary Open Teams
We are pleased to announce the following additional selections to the 2021 FISAF New Zealand team;
- FISAF Cadet Individual
- Matilda Stevens (Queen’s Aerobics)
- FISAF Senior Individual
- Elle Kane (Resultz)
- Jade Fielding (Queen’s Aerobics)
- FISAF Masters Individual
- Emily Lawn (Game On Aerobics)
- FISAF Junior Duo
- Chloe Woodhouse and Imogen Morey (Pulse Aerobics)

- FISAF Senior Duo
- Elle Kane and Lizzy Hewitt (Chilton St James School)
